Through play therapy your child can explore its thoughts and feelings in creative and dynamic ways, which is especially useful when it is hard to put feelings and thoughts into words.
Play therapy is a therapeutic approach specifically designed for children to express their emotions and experiences through play. It provides a safe and supportive environment where children can work through challenges, build resilience, and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
During play therapy sessions, children have the freedom to engage in various activities such as drawing, building with blocks, playing with clay, water or sand, playing with dolls or action figures or engaging in imaginative play. As a therapist I create a nurturing atmosphere, observing and responding to the child’s play as a form of communication. Through play, children can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a non-threatening way, leading to increased self-awareness and emotional regulation.
