Mindfulness Training for Children
This mindfulness training is a specialized therapeutic approach that teaches children valuable skills to manage stress, improve focus, and develop emotional resilience. The eight-week training is based on the Eline Snel method, the “Sitting Still Like a Frog” program offers a gentle and engaging way for children to cultivate mindfulness.

Through a series of carefully designed activities and exercises, children learn to:

  • Manage emotions effectively: learn healthy ways to cope with feelings like anger, sadness, and frustration.
  • Reduce stress and anxiety: build resilience and cope with challenges effectively.
  • Increase attention span and focus: develop the ability to concentrate better in school and daily life.
  • Build self-awareness and resilience: develop a deeper understanding of their thoughts and emotions, fostering a strong sense of self.
  • Enhance social skills: develop empathy, kindness, and cooperation with others.

How does it work?

It consists of an eight week evidence-based Mindfulness program of one hour a week and will be given in a small group of 6 children in the age range of 5-8 or 8-11 years. They will learn to:

  • Pay attention to the present moment: By focusing on their breath, sensations, and thoughts, children can reduce anxiety and increase awareness.
  • Develop self-regulation: Mindfulness helps children understand and manage their emotions, leading to improved behavior and relationships.
  • Enhance concentration: By practicing mindfulness, children can improve their focus and attention span, both in and out of the classroom.

The program is tailored to different age groups, ensuring that the activities are appropriate and enjoyable for your child
